Elianne Bahena

Elianne "Ely" Bahena (she, her, ella) is a community advocate, immigration rights activist, and a justice-driven young professional from the Little Village neighborhood in Chicago.

Elianne is the District Councilor for the 10th District which encompasses the Little Village, North Lawndale, and Pilsen neighborhoods. She was elected to serve her community in Chicago’s Municipal Election in February 2023. Elianne currently serves as the District Chief of Staff for Alderperson Rodriguez, 22nd Ward where her focus is to ensure the best quality of life for the residents of the community.

In addition to her work, Elianne is leading philanthropic efforts across Chicago. She currently serves as the Co-Chair of the Young Women’s Giving Council at the Chicago Foundation for Women, HACE's Chicago Auxiliary Board, the Board of Directors for Mujeres Latinas en Accion, and the Board of Directors for Urban Warriors. She is also a contributing author to Today’s Inspired Young Latinas, Volume IV.
