Vanessa Hall

As Manager of Community Partnerships and Engagement for Peoples Gas and North Shore Gas, Vanessa Hall leads the development and execution of the company’s corporate citizenship strategy. She oversees charitable contributions, nonprofit partnerships, employee volunteer programs, board placements, and the company’s United Way campaign.

She also manages institutional events and initiatives that align with and reinforce company values, expanding community impact while strengthening employee engagement. Vanessa joined Peoples Gas and North Shore Gas in 2016 as Manager of Media Relations, serving as the company’s spokesperson and leading crisis communications and social media strategy.

Previously, Vanessa served as Director of Media and Government at Oak Street Health, where she played a key role in helping the company open 15 clinics nationally. She also founded Hall Consulting, a public relations and marketing firm that managed projects for Latino Fashion Week, Chicago Fashion Fest, Jus Juus, and Oak Street Health. Earlier in her career, she served as Senior Manager of Corporate Communications for BMO Harris Bank, overseeing communications and public relations for retail banking and small business in Illinois and Wisconsin. She also held roles in the public sector as Assistant Press Secretary for Chicago mayors Richard M. Daley and Rahm Emanuel, and began her career in journalism as a segment producer for Telemundo Chicago.

A Chicago native, Vanessa earned a B.A. in Journalism from Columbia College. She currently serves on the board of directors for La Casa Norte and has previously held board positions with the Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance and the Rauner YMCA.
