Chicago Latino Caucus Foundation Announces Inaugural Fuerza del Futuro Sponsors on Día del Niño
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 30, 2026
CHICAGO – The Chicago City Council Latino Caucus Foundation (CLCF) is proud to announce the inaugural Fuerza del Futuro Sponsors, a new group of early supporters whose commitments are helping expand access to higher education for Latino students across Chicago.
Launched this year, Fuerza del Futuro, meaning “the strength of the future”, is a new initiative designed to strengthen and grow the Foundation’s scholarship program by encouraging early commitments from partners invested in educational opportunity and long-term community leadership. Sponsors who pledged their support by April 30, celebrated as Día del Niño (Day of the Child), are being recognized today as the founding class of this new tradition.
CLCF is a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to higher education for Latino youth through scholarships, mentorship, and leadership development opportunities. Through its annual scholarship program, the Foundation provides critical financial support to students across Chicago, helping remove barriers to college access and persistence.
To date, the Foundation’s scholarship program has supported hundreds of students across Chicago, providing renewable scholarships that not only expand access to college, but help ensure students persist through graduation and pursue meaningful careers.
“Investing in education is one of the most powerful ways we can shape the future of our city,” said Alderman Michael Rodriguez, Chairman of the Chicago Latino Caucus Foundation. “Our inaugural Fuerza del Futuro Sponsors are stepping up in a meaningful way and demonstrating a clear commitment to Latino youth and helping us expand opportunities for the next generation of leaders. We are proud to recognize them as founding partners in this important work.”
The Fuerza del Futuro Sponsors play a key role in supporting the Foundation’s 12th Annual Chicago Latino Caucus Foundation Gala, presented by Supremo Sponsors Computer Aid, Inc. (CAI), and HMSHost/Hudson/Dufry. The Gala will take place on Friday, September 18 at the Chicago History Museum and serves as the organization’s premier annual fundraiser, directly benefiting its scholarship program. By committing early, Fuerza del Futuro Sponsors enable the Foundation to plan ahead, expand its scholarship offerings, and reach even more students across Chicago.
