F. Crystal Rodríguez- García
F. Crystal Rodríguez- García is a native Chicagoan, born and raised in the Little Village neighborhood, to parents originally from Jalisco and Michoacán, Mexico. Her passion and commitment are rooted in advocacy, civic engagement, community service, and social justice.
She currently serves as the Constituent Services and Grants Manager for the office of U.S. Representative Jesús “Chuy” García. In this role, she oversees district-based initiatives in health, education, senior services, and grants—including Community Project Funding. She also manages casework services provided by the district team, coordinates immigration workshops, and leads the Congressional Art and App Challenges for youth.
Previously, Crystal worked at Mujeres Latinas en Acción, a nonprofit organization, where she assisted immigrant families with citizenship education, application processing, and interview preparation—proudly helping hundreds of Legal Permanent Residents take the next step in becoming U.S. citizens.
Crystal is currently pursuing her master’s degree at the University of Chicago’s Harris School of Public Policy. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, with a concentration in Economics and minors in Political Science and International Relations.
In her free time, Crystal enjoys spending time with family and friends, caring for her pets, attending music festivals, and train and plane spotting.
