Jose Sandoval
Jose Sandoval is a Sergeant with the Chicago Police Department, bringing over 19 years of service across multiple bureaus and specialized units.
He currently serves in the Bureau of Counterterrorism as Training Coordinator and Commanding Officer of the Electronic and Technical Support Unit, overseeing critical technical operations and officer training. His experience reflects a career dedicated to innovation, preparedness, and supporting the Department’s mission at every level.
Jose’s goal is to prepare officers with the tools, knowledge, and values they need to serve communities with integrity, empathy, and professionalism. A father of four and lifelong resident of Chicago’s South Side, he grew up in the Pilsen neighborhood and takes great pride in his roots. His parents migrated from Mexico to Chicago in the 1970s, instilling in him the importance of hard work, resilience, and community. These principles have continued to guide his commitment to give back to the neighborhoods that shaped him and to mentor the next generation of law enforcement professionals.
